I've been out of touch since Christmas, ministering to McKinley who, regrettably, crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. It's our first time in 24 years without a yellow lab girl in the house. Her regular vet was really downcast when she saw him on Saturday and I had hoped that she would last until Wednesday when he was back in. Instead, we had to go to the emergency vet yesterday where she'd been over the Christmas holiday. Once everything was set up (this always takes longer than you think) it went really, really fast (maybe 30 seconds) and was very peaceful. It was a huge relief for her. The administering vet asked if we were ready and I bristled a bit -- it doesn't matter because she was ready and no amount of meds could relieve her pain. She was barely conscious before we even started and I felt enormous relief for her that it was over.

Despite the difficult holiday, I've managed a few 3SF fills, with more to come, I hope. I got the Narnia-TSG type ones up yesterday. (I did some others that are an LOTR cross. That will come later). Chapter 2 is, maybe, a bit of surprise if you've not followed the blather going on in comments in AO3 on the last chapter posted of AW. I'd hoped to actually do more writing this holiday HA HA HA. But it will happen, with a resolution to wrap TSG up in 2019, 10 years after I started it. YIKES.
And do come and join in the 3SF! Here's are prompts that still need to be filled, 3SF Part 1 (but no new prompts) and here is 3SF Part 2 for new prompts and fills
